We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, who shares our values of sustainability, innovation and ownership.
Your mission
BABLE.DIGITAL’s developers are independent, results-driven and self-organized individual contributors who work together as part of a distributed and agile team. You will have a key role in developing end to end projects by:
- Working with stakeholders to understand their data needs and transforming those needs into technical requirements
- Working on the extraction, transformation, loading and integration of data from different sources
- Developing scripts to process structured and unstructured data
- Designing, developing, testing and deploying software
- Improving data reliability, efficiency and quality
We are looking for someone who
- Has excellent coding skills, with proven experience as a data engineer, software developer, or similar
- Is open to innovate with new technologies
- Is confident in working with customers
- Enjoys working in an agile environment
- Has an advanced level of written and spoken English
- Has a master’s degree in a relevant field (nice to have)
- Shares our passion for sustainability 💚
- Scripting: Python and/or PySpark, R, JavaScript (min 2 years of experience)
- Languages: Java or C++
- Common ML frameworks: TensorFlow and/or Keras, PyTorch
- Knowledge of DB such as Cassandra (NoSQL), FireBase, MongoDB, CouchDB
- Knowledge of build tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Ant
- Knowledge of versioning tools such as: Github, GitLab, Bitbucket
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Spark, Webpack, ElasticSearch
- Knowledge of data visualisation tools
- Knowledge of web frameworks such as Angular, React
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms
