We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, who shares our values of sustainability, innovation and ownership.

Your mission

BABLE.DIGITAL’s developers are independent, results-driven and self-organized individual contributors who work together as part of a distributed and agile team. You will have a key role in developing end to end projects by:

  • Working with stakeholders to understand their data needs and transforming those needs into technical requirements
  • Working on the extraction, transformation, loading and integration of data from different sources
  • Developing scripts to process structured and unstructured data
  • Designing, developing, testing and deploying software
  • Improving data reliability, efficiency and quality

We are looking for someone who

  • Has excellent coding skills, with proven experience as a data engineer, software developer, or similar
  • Is open to innovate with new technologies
  • Is confident in working with customers
  • Enjoys working in an agile environment
  • Has an advanced level of written and spoken English
  • Has a master’s degree in a relevant field (nice to have)
  • Shares our passion for sustainability 💚 

Preferred technical profile

  • Scripting: Python and/or PySpark, R, JavaScript (min 2 years of experience)
  • Languages: Java or C++
  • Common ML frameworks: TensorFlow and/or Keras, PyTorch
  • Knowledge of DB such as Cassandra (NoSQL), FireBase, MongoDB, CouchDB
  • Knowledge of build tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Ant
  • Knowledge of versioning tools such as: Github, GitLab, Bitbucket

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Spark, Webpack, ElasticSearch
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools
  • Knowledge of web frameworks such as Angular, React
  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms
